Sean, Nice Things by Sean

Welcome — I’m Sean, and I’ve spent the last few years chasing two things around the world: good flights and better tables. Somewhere between layovers I fell hard for the idea of a proper meal as its own kind of travel — a few hours where a chef, a city, and a season all show up on one plate. This site is where I keep track of the Michelin-starred restaurants I’ve been lucky enough to eat my way through, from Zürich to Venice to a converted farmhouse in Healdsburg.

If you only read one review here, make it Sühring in Bangkok — my favorite restaurant of them all, hands down.

I write these up the way I’d tell a friend about the trip: what worked, what didn’t, whether the wine pairing was worth it, and whether I’d go back. No filters on the photos and no filter on the opinions either.

My two most recent write-ups are Oriole and Galit, both in Chicago — go take a look, or use the menu above to browse everything by star rating or see the full list ranked top to bottom.
